The gods warred, and someone won. Good, or Evil, Mundane or Divine, someone's plan worked, and the Earth was Shattered.
The gods died, or got what they want, either way they are gone now.
But the defining quality of life is survival, and it has. The earth may be shattered, but all her parts are still there -- floating islands surrounded by air. Four such islands comprise the Haven Alliance, the last known bastion of free people after the Cataclysm that destroyed the earth.
Will you join the Adventurer's League, become a Citizen, and help keep the survivors of the Shattered Earth alive?

[edit] Overview
Shattered Earth is a setting for Dungeons and Dragons, which borrows heavily from SpellJammer and perhaps a bit from Traveller and 'The Little Prince'.
With the departure of the gods, everything is broken, including the planet itself. Magic no longer works the way it did, and there is no longer any moral certitude. All that's left is an attempt at survival and reclaiming a decent life without fear of starvation or predation.
Players will play as members of the Adventurer's League as residents of the Haven Alliance seeking Citizenship. During their time, they will attempt to protect the fragile alliance that exists between the islands of Haven, and they will discover a way to travel out of Alliance territory, and explore the remains of the Shattered Earth, which may destabalise it completely, or bring it to power and safety.
