Four Goddesses

No one is sure where there Four Goddesses came from, but the creation -- or finding -- of the world of Amaranth is attributed to them. They did not create any of the peoples of Amaranth, but are generally held responsible for offering the various races shelter there. Some took better use of the Goddesses gifts than others. The Goddesses are concerned with halting great (if not lesser) evils, and crafted the Tetraganon and the Weapons of Legend to aid good- and law-aligned souls with the protection of their world.
Generally, they stay out of things, except when Heroes arise, and even then, it's really up to them.
